Hello,
I’m trying to use a modified image of an Ubuntu 18.04 server where CUDA 10.2 was previously compiled. Most of the components are there, but when I try to check or restart the drivers, it produces the following error:
NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn’t communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Ma ke sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running.
Looking at the error log, the most outstanding message (that I see) is the lack of /sys/class/drm/*/device/driver along with some other warnings (e.g. xset not found). I was wondering if anyone has any suggestion on how to get the driver up and running w/o rerunning the installation.
Thanks.
