Facing problem while flashing the eMMC on the Jetson Nano production ready module (not the Dev Kit)

I am currently working on flashing the Jetson Nano production modules, using the latest sdk manager. The carrier board is a custom one which does not have USB and HDMI ports, but only a mini USB port, to be able to work in the USB recovery mode. The sdk manager reports flashing to be successful (of course, this is just the OS image and not the sdk components like CUDA), but I cannot SSH (I get the ‘SSH connection refused’ error). I suspect that after flashing when a cold boot happens, the device is trying to setup the System Configuration wizard, which I cannot access, and hence the ssh server might not be ready. How do I overcome this problem? Is there a way I could change some kernel parameters so that the System Configuration is skipped, or some configuration that can be set manually before flashing? I am using Jetpack 4.2.1.

Thank you for the solution, I am now able to SSH into the newly flashed Jetson Nano module. Bypassing the user creation, an essential step of the System Configuration setup, was precisely what was needed.

I need to test the system further though. An initial observation was that apt-daily-upgrade.service and apt-daily.service hold the locks for package manager updates. These locks are to be force removed before an update/upgrade can be performed. I am not sure if this is caused by some permission deviations ?? in the root file system, brought about by the modification.

A downside of this method of flashing is the manual installation of the CUDA toolkit, something which is automatically taken care of by the SDK Manager in the usual method of flashing.

I am using Nano productioni B01 module, i used script l4t_create_default_user.sh to create default user. after flashing There is no UI login menu after Nvidia splash screen. I dont see this issue with previous nano devkits.

Yes, pure sdkmaanger i do see the UI. seems after i apply l4t_create_default_user.sh to created a default user . then i dont see login UI anymore after seeing Nvidia logo.

I think there is some error stuck your boot process. To enable more verbose log, please remove the “quiet” keyword in Linux_for_Tegra/rootfs/boot/extlinux/extlinux.conf and re-reflash your board again.

Looks like there are some error from uvc driver. Do you have a usb camera connected on your board?
