Flashed image successfully, but Jetson Nano 2GB fails to install on boot and can't be used

I’m setting up the jetson nano 2gb, I have the jetson-nano-2gb-jp461-sd-card-image.zip flashed with etcher into a 64gb sandisk extreme sd card and it said successful. But when I put the sd card into the jetson nano 2gb and also connected the keyboard, mouse and hdmi to it, and when I connect the official rasberry pi 5V5A power supply, it booted and said failed to install. so I cannot use it. what should I do.

I saw too many people having this issue…

Yes, I’m not sure how to solve this problem.

Please find a x86 host and flash your Jetson device with sdkmangager.

Only this method would fix the problem. Sdcard image didn’t really flash anything there.

Thank you for answering! So does it mean every time I buy and set up a Jetson Nano I need to do this with a x86host and sdkmanager? Why the normal flashing tutorial posted on the official nvidia jetson nano 2GB homepage won’t work?

I’m not going to buy a host just for this. Why is it that the method provided in the official NVIDIA manual doesn’t work? When I purchased it, there was no mention that an x86 host was required. So, who should I trust?
