GPU Fan not working Ubuntu 20.04

Hi, Greetings

I am facing issues to control the speed of the GPU fan on my Laptop Asus Tuf F15 with RTX 3060 GPU.
I have installed the nvidia driver for Ubuntu 20.04. But the problem is that it doesn’t show fan slider to control the GPU Fan. I am very worried about it as it could affect the long life of the GPU graphics cards.

So I followed some guides to use coolbits, but it didn’t work.

I tried everything what the slider is not showing and there is no other option to control the speed of the gpu fan.

Please let me know if any other details are required.

I am really looking forward to get support to solve this issue.

Thanks a lot.

Gpus in notebook don’t have an own fan, all fans are controlled by the system bios. Please check for an extra module/software for your notebook model.

Thanks for your response. I didn’t know about this. My laptop model is ASUS TUF F15 with Nvidia RTX 3060. What should I do to find how to control the fan for GPU in Ubuntu 20.04.

Depends on your model, try these:
