GTX 1070 + Ubuntu 24 = only 550 works

As the title says, I’m using GTX 1070 on Ubuntu 24.04.

I have tried a few different driver versions: 535, 550, 570, 570-open. Only 550 works with browsers, others cause GPU process usage to be maxed out.

GPU process usage is caused by different things: CSS filters, CSS animations and canvas. 550 has no problems with them but other versions do.

So, this is a bug report. Is this the correct place for it?

550 had other problems - it made vscodium unusable - the screen rendering got suddenly very slow.

Now I don’t know how to fix the situation as every version seems to have some problem.
