How to connect to jetson nano gui remotely from a different network?

Hello for my product I need to connect to jetson nano remotely, I understand there are solution to connect to command line and also connect to GUI in local network (nomachine).

But I would like to connect to GUI like team viewer or anydesk

Please follow the steps in below link to setup VNC:

please keep the following things in mind:

  1. You need to first Enable Desktop sharing by editing “org.gnome.Vino.gschema.xml”, through terminal, this will stop the VNC Desktop Sharing from crashing
  2. Enable " Start the VNC server on every startup", this will automate the process and you don’t have to manually start it every time.

@kayccc
Through VNC I can connect to jetson nano from a different network over the internet?

The link says it can only used to connect in the same network

Hi,
This would need other users to share experience. Not sure if this works but if the Jetson Nano has public IP address, VNC may be working in this use-case.

Another possible solution is to login the local area network through VPN so that your host PC and Jetson Nano can be in same network.

This network is in an organisation.

How to " login the local area network through VPN so that your host PC and Jetson Nano can be in same network."?

Hi,

There are private companies offering this service. Not sure if there is freeware for this.
