Hi @zhiguo.tang1, thanks for posting your question. You should be able to pick up objects with gripper friction. Two things I suggest doing:

  1. Update your Isaac Sim to 4.5.0. Many things in 4.0.0 are not supported anymore.
  2. You can look at the example here for using gripper to pick up a cube: Adding a Manipulator Robot — Isaac Sim Documentation
  3. You can also add a particular material to the gripper fingerpad links: Here are some readily available materials: Material Browser — Omniverse Extensions Maybe something like rubber will provide good amount of friction.
