what I want to do is setting the cylinder as a button, and when it is pressed, the cube will change its material. Was I misunderstanding the usage of Graph about UI? Can it be achieved?
Hi Wayne. That Button node is actually for creating a 2D button on the viewport. The UI nodes can help you do what you want though. Have a look at the physical button on the light bulb sample asset.
