Based on all the information from website, i want to install NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-515.48.07.run, but failed with “Module.symvers file is missing, or does not contain any symbols exported from the kernel.”.
I installed gcc, kernel-devel, kernel-source, added “blacklist nouveau options nouveau modeset=0” to /etc/modprobe.d/50-blacklist.conf. After all this, when init 3 and
sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-515.48.07.run, nvidia-installer.log said “autoconf.h missing”. So i “make oldconfig && make prepare” then “make modules” in “/usr/src/linux” folder, and found “Module.symvers” finally showed up in “/usr/src/linux”. Then i sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-515.48.07.run, still get “Module.symvers missing” error. by now, i have no idea …
