Instrucions to flash an Orion Nano

I recently bought a Jetson nano (and a ssd). Tried following to the letter Quick Start Guide — Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit - User Guide , which naturally failed, in particular in step 5.3, where [‘netplan’, ‘apply’] return non zero status 1 (during that start finish part), got access to an abolutely kilometric network .crash .

What are actually the real instructions to get this going?

Hi @albert.garcon it is better to flash your board using SDK manager. We have a guide that you can follow:

You will need to put the Orin Nano in recovery mode, the guide includes how to do it for the Orin AGX, but for the Orin Nano you need to short pins 9 and 10 in J14 header, the pins are labeled as FC_REC and GND respectively.

If the board is in recovery mode your PC will detect it as the following:

lsusb #Example output: Bus 003 Device 029: ID 0955:7523 NVIDIA Corp. APX

Thank you for your answer. Today i can’t check it out, and tomorrow is holidays where I live, so I will give it a spin on thursday.

Tested it and managed to install linux on the device with no problem. Jetpack install didn’t work, but i am installing manually from the Jetson directly. Thanks.
