Isaac Sim “Add Nucleus Connection” failed

Hi,

I have successfully started a Nucleus Server on an Ubuntu machine.

However, when I open Isaac Sim on another Ubuntu machine (Host A, with a different IP but within the same network) and try to connect using Add Nucleus Connection, the connection fails.

On Host A, I can access
http://<server-ip>:8080
from a browser without any issues and log in successfully.

Isaac Sim version: 5.1

Thanks in advance!

Can you install Isaac Sim 5.1 on the same machine as your Nucleus Server and make sure that your local Isaac can access it. Then check the second machine for any kind of network security or firewalls that are blocking you.

This new Omniverse server is the brand new one you downloaded from NGC correct? None of this will work with the old Nucleus Server. Enterprise Nucleus Server | NVIDIA NGC

@wendy60113 - this is likely a network routing issue. Did you set this up in a VM on the main Ubuntu machine, or directly in Ubuntu? Can you validate you and ping the Nucleus server IP from your HostA box? Do you have a proxy between Nucleus and your hostA box? (not a support path)

It suddenly started working again without any changes on my side.

Thanks everyone for your help!
