I am currently running isaacsim in venv with python3.11.0

with the error:

2025-09-22T18:13:28Z [349,581ms] [Error] [carb.graphics-vulkan.plugin] VK_EXT_memory_budget is not supported on this platform. Can’t get the VRAM memory usage info
2025-09-22T18:13:28Z [349,582ms] [Warning] [gpu.foundation.plugin] ResourceAllocator: Can’t get memory usage info. All unused memory will be released

I just installed it and it is already unable to render the viewport. Are my specs insufficient to just run it? Please help and if there is any troubleshooting i can do. Thank you!

@darrelliew6 if you were to hit G, does it toggle the grid lines (red and green)? if it does, the viewport is working. VK_EXT_memory_budget error would likely mean the VRAM is not sufficient (recommended being minimum of 16GB per the doc; though users with lesser VRAM have been able to open 5.0 without any issue barring any heavy simulation) but i’ll let the devs/mods to comment on that

another thing to try is switching from Vulkan to DirectX. there were some isolated cases where it helped Windows users in version 4.5 but not sure if it’s been addressed in 5.0:

another observation is on the driver version. you could try reverting to an older driver listed on the official doc and see if anything changes:

Hi @Simplychenable. Thanks for the reply. It works now i downloaded the 4.5 version and changed my vulkan to false in isaacsim.exp.full.kit. Thank you!

just out of curiosity, does the same flag not work with 5.0? because 5.0 should have other bugs addressed, so ideally if the vulkan = false flag works there, i would recommend you use the latest instead to avoid any issue with regression.

To resolve the black viewport issue in Isaac Sim 5.0, please try downgrading your NVIDIA GPU driver to version 537.58 or 576.80 , which is listed in the official Omniverse Technical Requirements.
