Isaac Sim 5.0.0 crashes every time creating an environment

I’m trying Isaac Sim 5.0.0 for the first time and doing the Quickstart Quick Install — Isaac Sim Documentation while crash happening and the whole PC freezes infinitely and I need to force restart to recover.

What could I try as troubleshooting steps? Or 6GB Video from a mobile GPU is not supported by Isaac Sim?

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Install Isaac Sim 5.0.0 as per Quick Install — Isaac Sim Documentation
  2. Select Create > Environment > Simple Room
  3. PC freezes infinitely and I need to force restart to recover

The PC freezes every time when Simple Room is created.

Additional Information

What I’ve Tried

Tried to create a different Environment. Suprisingly the sim sometimes not crashing when Flat Grid environment is created and I can add Franka Emika Panda Arm without crashing the sim.

@kirill.mitkovskii i am just another user, but looks like the GPU is below the recommended spec. that aside, have you tried to disable the built in intel UHD graphics driver and use only the NVIDIA driver? below is the spec outlined in the official doc for point of reference:

also, are you experiencing the crash when opening up any other assets or creating other environments?

For the scenarios I’ve tested, the peak GPU memory usage was around 4 GB. However, it’s important to note that Isaac Sim and related processes could consume more VRAM depending on the complexity of your environment and other concurrent GPU tasks.

If you’re experiencing crashes, it’s critical to ensure your system meets the minimum and recommended requirements for Isaac Sim development.
