JetPack 4.6.4 with L4T 32.7.4 is released which brings security fixes and adds Image based OTA support for Jetson AGX Xavier 32GB with Hynix DRAM and Western Digital EMMC - PCN 208560
This release supports Jetson AGX Xavier series, Jetson Xavier NX series, Jetson TX2 series, Jetson TX1, and Jetson Nano.
bugs still in this version, most reported 1-2 years before end of jetpack 4 developement:
GL_OES_EGL_image is not reported as available as a GLX extensions. Please enable it as a GLX extension like the desktop 470+ drivers and MESA drivers.
Xorg ABI 21 is not supported in 32.X.X. Many modern distros have moved to this xorg version and we are unable to create custom images for these distros due to nvidia jetson drivers not supporting this.
Can this be added to a future 32.X.X release? I know the desktop gpu drivers already have it.
Tested on 32.3.1 up to 32.5.1 on jetson nano. When using the gnome wayland implementation, rotating the screen (whether through gui or any command) causes a hang of gdm/wayland process. Sometimes it doesn’t happen the first time but usually within the first few times you will get a hang on gdm thread (GUI doesn’t respond and gdm thread is at 100% when viewed over ssh).
A hang can/will also happen on connecting another display/removing a display.
When display begins to go to sleep (via timeout/…
The use of xrandr rotation or manually specified metamodes causes a significant performance penalty for fullscreen and non fullscreen applications as well as reduces the framepacing consistentcy (which appears as stutter in scrolling text or gameplay).
This has been a longstanding issue for both the embedded and nouveau drivers. Why not use the gpu for display transformations instead of using cpu for transformations (clearly indicated by the increased xorg cpu utilization when rotation is used)…
Using standard debian tooling results in no package being found for the corresponding shared library files
dpkg-shlibdeps: error: no dependency information found for /usr/lib/aarch64-linux-gnu/tegra/libnvbuf_utils.so.1.0.0 (used by /usr/local/bin/testprogram)
Hint: check if the library actually comes from a package.
This is because nvidia does not provide .shlibs and .symbols files for their libraries
Ubuntu Manpage: dpkg-shlibdeps - generate shared library substvar dependencies
Is there a download URL for Jetson Nano JetPack 4.6.4 (4GB) SD Card Image?
The link I found on the
JetPack 4.6.4 page is for
jp_4.6.1_b110_sd_card/jeston_nano/jetson-nano-jp461-sd-card-image.zip. This file name implies
JetPack 4.6.1 instead of
@marc, I don’t believe so - you would flash the JetPack 4.6.1 SD card image, then upgrade it to 4.6.4 via apt:
Can I install 4.6.4 jetpack using SDK manager on Jetson Nano 4GB Module (B01 version) ? I have installed SDK manager on my ubuntu 20.04 Host but I don’t see any SDK version option available to download here.
Can someone pls guide me how to proceed here ?
This it’s bad things OTA it’s breaking everytime in bootloader for a long time in new change.
It’s needed new image for preventing these crash dpkg post install or needed SDK manager for flash it or use workarround move dpkg info to new for ignore apt install it .
It seems that you need to use Ubuntu 18.04 but not 20.04 to install Jetpack 4.6.4 on your nano.
