Does the Nano work normal before with DC POWER?
Suggest connect to uart debug connector see if there is log from the uart?
From your picture 3 , I can see the LED is light.
uffff… if you want to know about my dump - i logged it, when i started my jetson with microUSB 3A DC supply, not jack DC supply… That log is usual Ubuntu log…
But i need to work with jack DC supply, not microUSB 3A DC supply.
Hope, my post is clear)
it`s too sad. i have two jetson nano device , non-running with jack DC.
now i try to combine my ATX DC supply with microUSB unput…
can you check some another device from same consignment ?
I though I was the only one having this problem. Let me explain what I have tried and tested. I had 2 NVIDIA Jetson Nano. The first Nano, I tried with USB power supply and the green LED turns ON. But the monitor does not show any display. If I draw the power directly from USB port from desktop or laptop, then the monitor will display a very unstable output. What I mean by unstable is that the monitor will turn ON and OFF in a dimming fashion. Once other peripherals are connected the display completely turns OFF. Assuming the power supply is insufficient from the USB port, I then used another power supply which powers using the 5.5mm power jack (5v, 5A). Again this time the green LED turns ON, but no display on the monitor.
Then I use the same 5.5mm power jack on my other NVIDIA Jetson Nano. This on works without any issue with the same power supply adapter with all the same setup (peripherals).
I believe the earlier NVIDIA Jetson Nano has manufacturing defect probably related to its power supply circuit. For other having similar issue, please return your device for a new one. It is likely to be a manufacturing defect than your power supply having insufficient power.
I too am not seeing any output on either video ports. For the sake of eliminating variables, can I boot from the console port without a sd card. i.e. I want to see if I get a “you need a bootable disk, you idiot” message, or any message in the console to verify that is working.
Hello everyone, I got the main problem of all that problems with Power On,
Actually you have to use a very good and high quality power supply and USB cable (it’s very important) to fix this all problems.
I used a very good power supply but after I changed the usb cable to high quality one everything is going very good.
Later I will post photos about this all issues.
Regards.
I just rebooted one of my five nanoes and having the no-boot problem. I tried swapping a known good SD card without any luck. I did have a snazzy little SSD1306 display attached to the SCL and SDA pins.
I had the window manager disabled and started it back up again, confirmed it was working and rebooted. Now no boot. I tried closing jumper J40 briefly with no change. No network, nothing.
