Jetson Orin Nano dev kit shorted out after following moderator instructions

Hi, I have a Jetson Orin Nano Dev kit that shorted out while following information from the official Jetson Ecosystem’s account on a post here, which turned out to be incorrect.

The information in the box does not specify if the USB C port supports power input, as many Jetson models do, so we checked the official Nvidia forum and found this post: Recommended Battery Parameters, Mode of Power Input for Orin Nano Dev Kit

The moderator clearly states (incorrectly) that the unit accepts power over the USB-C connector, so we plugged in a regulated 12V supply over USB-C and the unit immediately died. We later found a different document elsewhere while troubleshooting that specifies the unit only accepts power over the DC barrel jack.

How do we go about getting the unit replaced unit under warranty because the official information on here is wrong? Additionally, the original post needs updated so others don’t do the same thing by mistake!

Hi, thanks for this note. Orin NX/Nano devkit can NOT be supplied over USB-C. I incorrectly mixed with Orin devkit in the original post, will update. Sorry for misleading on this. You can run RMA for the unit.
