Jetson Orin Nano Devkit doesn't boot up

I have been working on the Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit which boots from a 64 GB SanDisk SD card. It is powered via the standard adaptor from NVidia which came with the kit. On powering it back on, it attempts L4TLauncher Direct Boot and finally shows the below error.

The serial log is attached.
orin_booterror.txt (110.8 KB)

If reflashing is the only option, is there some way to recover data?

This is a known issue that filesystems of SD card on Orin Nano may get corrupted after a certain period of time.
Please see if you can still mount that partition on a host PC to recover the data.

Thanks for the reply.
The partition is not being detected by the host PC. I flashed another SD card and it is working as of now. Any measures to be taken to extend the lifetime and how long do SD cards work usually?
Is switching to SSD/ USB drive the only option for reliability?

We are checking if this can be fixed in the next JetPack release.
For the current version, sorry but there is no.

Currently YES.
The issue does not affect NVMe/USB drives as far as we know.

USB Drive should be attached to the available Type-A ports, right?

Sure, any of the USB-A ports should work.
