Hi, I may have done something really wrong here and messed up one of my Orin NX. I have managed to flash one Orin NX 16GB on a custom board successfully by following the steps in the developer guide and on this forum. However, for my other Orin NX, I tried flashing it but it failed with Error flashing non-qspi storage. Following How to flash Jetson Orin NX 16GB moudule - #12 by alexandru7ac9a, I deleted all partitions in my SSD and formatted it as a single ext4. After this, my ssd is no longer being detected and my Orin NX is unable to boot. In force recovery mode, it can still be detected using lsusb, with the correct code 7323. Moving the SSD on this Orin NX to my working Orin NX, I can boot but immediately go into a shell screen. How can I resolve this? Thanks!
Is it okay to reflash the board again? If it cannot be flashed, please share me the full log and command you are using.

The error log you just posted reminds me of another issue. But that one has nothing to do with SSD format.
Do you have other spare SSD on your side to try?
You mean a fresh SSD? I do not have one at the moment. However, if i switch the SSD from my working Orin NX to this one, it still does not boot, not even having the Nvidia logo boot screen. Should I get a new SSD and try reflashing?
Is your ubuntu host a 20.04 one? Did you use same ubuntu host to flash this Orin before?
Do you have any ubuntu 18.04 host on your side that can do the flash work?
The issue I am talking about is we notice some ubuntu 20.04 host may have usb connection problem with Orin platform (Orin AGX/NX). The symptom is just as what you shared.
However, this issue seems not stable and I am not able to reproduce on my side.
You can also try different usb port on your host and see if this makes difference.
Or cold reboot the host machine.
My host is Ubuntu18.04. I managed to use this host to flash one Orin NX right before this one. Also tried different USB ports. Still getting Reading board information failed.
Could you dump the serial console log during flash? You can use the boot up case first to validate if you can really dump log.
Also, when doing flash, please remove other jeston devices from host side only leave the one you want to flash.
Will try to find a usb ttl cable so i can get the serial console logs. I made sure that only 1 Jetson device is connected to the host.

Please check if the flash process prints any log from the console on the NG board.
Not sure why but this is the first time reflashing has worked on the NG board. The only difference this time should be that my usb-ttl cable is connected. Anyways, thanks for your quick replies!
