Jetson TX2 magneticless connection for 1000Mbps

Dear Gents/Ladies,

We have designed a carrier board for Jetson TX2 and we have an ethernet device on the same carrier board, i.e. same PCB, hence we would like to make a magneticless (without a transformer) connection between the eth PHY of Jetson TX2 and the PHY of the ethernet device on the board, which is voltage driven. We have established speeds upto 100Mbps, but we would like to achieve 1000Mbps. Is there a way to achieve this?

Kind regards.

Hakan

Hi, the ethernet PHY is BCM54610 which supports 1000Mbps, for MDI signal routing you can refer to OEM DG.

Hi Trumany,

in the OEM DG (JetsonTX2_OEM_Product_DesignGuide.pdf) there is only explanations for the solution with transformer aver the RJ45 jag to an external device.

Whereas we would like to get a connection to a device on the same carrier board and would prefer a magneticless (without transformer) solution that would work at 1000Mbps. The other device on our board has a voltage driven phy.

Kind regards.

Hakan
