Jetson Xavier Synchronized by external clock

Hi All,

We are working with a customer that is looking for ways to synchronize the clocks of NVIDIA Xavier AGX with an external reference clock. We are currently exploring two options:

  1. PTP: Basically use the PTP hardware support available in Xavier to increase the precision of the system clock synchronization as described in this post.

  2. Is there a way to feed the Xavier AGX with an external clock? Like a pin where we can connect a clock and then have Xavier using it as reference for the internal clocks?

Any guidance on this is appreciated.

No, the internal clock can not be set by this way.

we used to get phc2sys with ptp4l with GPS PPS & NMEA inputs working
what eactly do you mean saying “internal clock”?
