Anyone tried using the Nvidia Android CUDA API on Lineage on Nano?
Iām having an issue with installing gapps, once the tablet version is installed the system UI force closes non stop. I did read some conflicting information some saying gapps works some that it doesnāt.
So my main question is, can I install gapps on the Jetson nano 4gb B01.
Which lineage target are you installing? porg or porg_tab? Gapps only work with the build variant they are designed for. porg is android tv, so only atv gapps will work. porg_tab is mobile, so phone/tablet gapps would work there.
That was fast! Thanks!! Im installing porg_tab v18.1 so i got the suggested mindthegaps version for Android 11 the 64bit arm version. I wipe everything like normal and install gapps after lineage and reboot annnnd setup stops completely and the system force closes constantly. Ive run lineage os on more devices then I can count, I just donāt know whatās going on haha
Iāll try with a 17.1 build to see if thatās will work
Great job! I got everything working in my b02, except FAN isnāt running and chip is getting hot as hell. Also my WiFi card Intel AC 8265 isnāt recognized.
b02? I donāt know of a b02 revision. I know Nvidia recently re-released the nano devkit, but I didnāt see anything about a new revision in the source releases.
My releases only officially support the devkits, a02 and b01. Other carrier boards may work if they are compatible with the devkit dtb, but I cannot give any guarantees of that. The devkit does not have a fan, thus itās not supported. Also as stated in the opening post, the only supported wireless card is a bcm4356. Someone put in some work to support intel cards, but it was not completed.
Oh, gee. Of course I meant b01, sorry about that.
Wifi card could be replaced with USB dongle or just use Ethernet, so itās not a problem. But not working fan is a quite problem.

On the topic of people installing 17.1, I need to make a couple comments.

That version is no longer supported. Itās not going to get any updates, and if something doesnāt work, it will not be fixed.

I donāt remember if I posted anything about this or not. But if the issue is that documentsui is not available on 18.1 atv builds, causing things like dolphin or ppsspp to not be able to browse files, first thatās a problem with the app that should be fixed by the author. But, I did upload a copy of docs ui that can be sideloaded as an addon. See my xda post for shield android tv about this linked below. But do note: docs ui is a tablet/mobile application. It cannot be controlled properly with a controller. It needs either a mouse or remote control like scrcpy. This is why itās not built-in for atv builds.

No problem. Believe it or not, the Internet Archive Library hosts an assortment of digitally related stuff (dependent upon a userās uploaded contribution) from scanned magazines/books to videogame roms (for emulation) from previous console generations. I suggest you take the opportunity to search throughout the site and preview it for yourself and discover what it has to offer that you like.
Iāll have to test it out using another microSD card I have lying around the house when I get the chance. I do recall the inability to browse certain apps like Duckstation and AetherSX2 as one of my main issues when using Lineage OS 18 (Android TV 11). I already own an air mouse remote control that came bundled with a USB dongle which I purchased from AliExpress that I use with the Nano to navigate apps/menus.
Side note: The Jetson Nano isnāt powerful enough to run Dolphin effectively where games are actually āplayableā w/o input lag or latency so Iāve since purchased an Orange Pi 5 which is capable of this feat for anyone interested.
The shield android tv isnāt quite enough to run gamecube smoothly either. Almost, but not quite. And the gpu on the nano has half the core count as compared to the satv. I believe the nano also has a lower max cpu frequency. So yeah, no one should be expecting better performance out of a nano.
Itās a good streaming setup, good for anything less demanding than GC/PS2, most if not all atv supported native games. But yeah, canāt expect a gaming powerhouse for something that retailed at $99 three years ago. Though I suppose tbf, the device that retailed at $199 almost eight years ago wasnāt beaten until four or five years into its life, soā¦ normal expectations donāt always apply here.

My brother owns a Shield (2019) which Iāve tested GC emulation on by way of Dolphin and came to that same conclusion as well. I do find it remarkable that the Switch uses the same Tegra X1 chip as the SATV, but the Dolphin emulator isnāt optimized enough to take advantage of itās horsepower. However, the Orange Pi 5 is a different story.
I flashed the Lineage OS 18.1 tablet version, but the system UI kept crashing all the time after startup. I tried different build versions and even downgraded to lineage OS 17.1, the problem was still there. The android TV version worked fine on my device by the way.
Anybody has a clue what went wrong and how to fix it?

System UI crashing is news to me. Iāll try to test this when I have time in the next couple days. I donāt put much work into polish on the tablet target, but ācanāt even get to the launcherā is definitely worse than that. It would at least boot to launcher when I shipped the builds, though.

On welcome I was able to successfully finish the onboarding flow and use apps
After first restart I hit the same issue that @L9527 is describing where either:
The lock screen loops every 3 seconds or I quickly login and system UI crashes
Not sure if I can give any other info that would be helpful
Hi what itās the latest image working I only see download nightly image 18.1 now and seems they have totally broken flickering screen and Android UI crash .
