/Library/PreferencePanes/CUDA/Preferences.prefPane
And possibly this one but I don’t think it was there: - /System/Library/StartupItems/CUDA/
If you check the first post in this thread you can see where all the files are meant to be located, although I could only find some at the links I’ve stated above.
One more thing.
If this doesn’t work for you, as it didn’t for me (i kept getting a black screen whenever i switched to nvidia web drivers), try the following thing:
Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > under 'Allow Apps downloaded from" you should see that macos blocked your nvidia install > click ‘Allow’
I just tried downloading the latest version of the Web Driver for 10.13.1 and I am not even able to install it. I went through the whole process and none of the files listed to be removed existed. I went ahead and tried to install and I get an error right at the installer that says “Mac OS X version 10.13.1 (17B1003) is not supported with this package.” I have attached a link to a photo below. Does anyone know what might be wrong here?
Looks like it’s as the message says: version is not supported. You’re trying to install WebDriver-378.10.10.10.20.107.pkg. Have you tried WebDriver-378.10.10.10.20.109.pkg?
Thank you for directing me to the latest version! I was able to install it successfully. Unfortunately my Adobe still does not seem to have CUDA available as an option. Not sure what the issue is. I have installed everything and have NVIDIA Graphics selected. Gave it a few restarts to see if that would kick it into gear. No luck.
So I went through the process of uninstalling all nvidia native drivers from the folder links did several restarts to make sure there was none left behind. Even the files inside the shortcuts and links or Aliases etc.
-I downloaded and installed WebDriver -378.10.10.10.20.109.pkg - RESTART
-I downloaded and installed Cuda Driver 9.0.222 - Restart
-After restart I get the UPDATE REQUIRED message
-Web Driver seems to be there and it does give me the option to select NVIDIA Driver (since by default it goes to OSX defaults) I have to give admin password to unlock and select the nvidia driver and it asks me to restart for changes to take effect.
-I RESTART and I am brought back to the same UPDATE REQUIRED and OSX drivers selected by default.
-STILL NO CUDA SUPPORT (It does not show in Premiere)
-I reinstalled High Sierra, Did the entire process from scratch and the same thing only this time it gave me a message saying that the OSX driver will be used instead of 378.10.10.10.20.109 because it was not compatible.
Please help This is my setup,
OSX High Sierra 10.13.1
Mac PRO 5,1 ,
3.6 MHz- 12-core Processor
64GB RAM
NVIDIA QUADRO K5000
ATI RADEON 5770
Hello, I’ve got the newest Macbook Pro with Mac OS High Sierra, and the latest driver you left a link of here was not compatible. I’ve tried downloading older driver versions of Cuda, Nvidia and whatever was available. I’m really clueless to whats left to do.
The issue itself is that I have a render issue in Premiere Pro, I’m in need of ‘GPU acceleration’ on certain presets I have. I’ve selected the different GPU i have ( metal and Opencl ). Nothing fix the problem…
More details from me, New NVIDIA WEB driver works in iMac late 2013 and CUDA is working also at Adobe NVIDIA Driver manager Auto-update.
I like to point out that I used only NVIDIA Driver Manager automatic update service for this, and that fixed for me.
The last fix for this problem here was working for me until High Sierra 10.13.1 update broke this, after that, I did not uninstall or touched NVIDIA Web Driver or CUDA driver, I just waited NVIDIA Driver manager automatic update.
After NVIDIA Driver manager Web driver update, there was no CUDA update, only Web Driver update, but this fixed CUDA update warning also.
So my fix was NVIDIA Driver Manager auto update and not Manual file download and install.
There was NO CUDA update for me, only that red update warning and it went away when web driver instal was complete.
macOS High Sierra 10.13.1
NVIDIA Web Driver 378.10.10.10.20.109 (GPU Drive Version 10.27.6 378.10.10.10.20.109) (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4 GB)
CUDA Drive Version 9.0.222
So Apple just released another update 10.13.2 and messed up my CUDA config. about an hour of doing what has been mentioned in this thread didn’t work (it did for 10.13.1). Through trial and error, i think i got this.

High Sierra 10.13.2
NVIDIA Driver manager automatic update.
After NVIDIA Driver manager Web driver update, there is CUDA update this fixed CUDA update warning also.
So my fix was NVIDIA Driver Manager auto update and not Manual file download and install.
Here is video what worked for me:
macOS High Sierra 10.13.2
NVIDIA Web Driver 378.10.10.10.25.102 (GPU Drive Version 378.10.10.10.25.102) (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4 GB)
CUDA Drive Version 387.99
So I got the prompt to update to the new web driver and the support driver after installing the new security update 10.13.2
NVIDIA Web Driver 378.10.10.10.25.102
CUDA Drive Version 387.99
I installed and i still have the update required shows in the panel. I uninstalled all the web driver and all the CUDA associated files and did a MANUAL install. Restarted and still did not work.
macOS High Sierra 10.13.2
NVIDIA Web Driver 378.10.10.10.25.102 (GPU Drive Version 378.10.10.10.25.102) (NVIDIA QUADRO K500 4 GB)
CUDA Drive Version 387.99
I’m on a MacBook Pro Late 2013 with the NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2GB GPU on a macOS High Sierra 10.13.1, CUDA Driver 387.99 and NVIDIA Web Driver 378.10.10.10.20.109 (GPU Drive Version 378.10.10.10.20.109).
Note that the GPU Driver version is the same as the Web Driver. Maybe it’s the same files and the Web Driver is just a fancy user friendly manager. For a long time, I have not used this manager without having any problems. Maybe it is not decisive in solving this problem.
I will update the macOS now to 10.13.2 version. Let’s see what happens.
Has anyone got information on MacOS 10.13.2 and CUDA drivers and toolkit.
In a failed attempt, I tried the 10.13.1 driver and software, but of course it does not work.
Any information on release dates or any other info would be of a great help,
First of all, thanks hkunkun very much.
I come from China and my english is poor.Excuse me.
Recently I was distressed by this issue for a long time.
Then I continue to read some of the information abroad to find ways.
Now my problem is solved,I send out the method to hope everyone can see.
First, follow hkunkun’s method. Then,If you encounter installation failure problem.Like WebDriver-378.10.10.10.25.103.pkg.
You can download a new version from this link——Nvidia Web Driver updates for macOS High Sierra (UPDATE Nov 13, 2020) - nVidia | InsanelyMac.
