It seems DW 4.0 is already installed. Could you confirm if you have /usr/local/driveworks-4.0/ folder?
It was partially installed, by the install that showed the error above. I uninstalled, checked for the directory, and then re-installed, and the error still occurs:

It seems you have installed the driveworks data debian file before running driveworks samples debian. Could you please check https://docs.nvidia.com/drive/driveworks-4.0/dwx_installation_x86.html
@SimaRamaKrishnaNV, you asked me to run the sample file deb and post the results, so that is what I did. Apparently you subsequently edited the reply to say run all of them? This is what your request originally said before it was edited:
“Could you run ~/Desktop/driveworks_installs/driveworks_4.0_x86/host_linux/driveworks_samples-v4.0.0_28713403_20210920_8c34ae28c6a_nopdkgcid_linux-amd64-ubuntu.deb on your host?”
In any case, the first of the deb files fails to install because it had in it copies of whole shared library files where there instead should be symlinks. This causes ldconfig to fail which causes the install to fail.
I was able to fix this manually by editing the deb file to have symlinks instead. I will try the rest of the steps shortly.

Please follow the instructions in https://docs.nvidia.com/drive/driveworks-4.0/dwx_installation_x86.html and let me know if you notice any issue.
