hi, I’m just getting started… I tried to run the installer, but it silently doesn’t open. I downloaded it twice, but there are no hashes to check the downloaded installer. anyway. I have a 1660 Ti, and this page [1] does not mention it, it only lists 1660, so this means I can’t use Nsight Graphics at all?

edit: so yeah I tried to install in a computer with a 3080 Ti, and the installer did run and finished. okay.
The installer doesn’t look for a specific GPU. Nor does Nsight graphics, the application. Only the application you want to analyze with Nsight graphics needs to run on specific GPUs for the analysis to work fully. So your problem lies somewhere else in the installation process.
“silently doesn’t open” sounds to me like an antivirus system preventing the install, but I’m just guessing at this point. Since you haven’t mentioned anything about your environment, it’s hard to provide further advice (which would change dramatically based on OS, e.g., and which method you’re trying to install with).

As @AMAMODE mentioned, installer doesn’t check your GPU, it might be due to something else. It might be your antivirus software blocks the installer, but could you please try these and give us some log (please start from a new topic, post it here will make us hard to track)
msiexec /i path\to\your\installer.msi /L*vx C:\msi_install_log.txt
