NVIDIA 580.126.18 causes Vulkan shader compilation crashes in games on Fedora 43

Since updating to NVIDIA driver 580.126.18, I am experiencing crashes in any game that compiles Vulkan shaders on launch. This persists across both kernel 6.18.13-200.fc43.x86_64 and the latest 6.19.6-200.fc43.x86_64.Affected games (via Steam/Proton): - Sid Meier’s Civilization VII — crashes immediately on launch during shader compilation - Arc Raiders — same behavior

Civ 7 error: .../Steam/steamapps/common/Sid Meier's Civilization VII/Base/Binaries/linux/Civ7_linux_Vulkan_FinalRelease has encountered a fatal error and was closed.

What I’ve tried: - Multiple Proton versions — no effect - Updated from kernel 6.18 to 6.19 — no effect - Confirmed driver installation is successful with no other abnormal behavior

Confirmed working: Rolling back to 580.119.02 on either kernel resolves the issue entirely. The problem follows the driver version, not the kernel it appears.

Is anyone else seeing this regression in 580.126.18? Any known workarounds besides staying on 580.119.02?
