Hi Everyone,
My PC’s specs:
CPU: Intel i9-12900k
Motherboard: Asus Prime Z6690-P Wifi D4
GPU: EVGA Geforce RTX 3060 12GB XC Gaming
I have a fresh Ubuntu 20.04 install and I installed nvidia-driver-515 after checking the supported driver for RTX 3060 on the official website: Official Drivers | NVIDIA
$ dkms status
nvidia, 515.48.07, 5.13.0-51-generic, x86_64: installed
$ nvidia-smi
NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn't communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running.
$ nvidia-settings
ERROR: NVIDIA driver is not loaded
ERROR: Unable to load info from any available system
(nvidia-settings:7688): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: 11:36:43.020: g_object_unref: assertion 'G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed
** Message: 11:36:43.022: PRIME: No offloading required. Abort
** Message: 11:36:43.022: PRIME: is it supported? no
I have attached the result of nvidia-bug-report.sh here too. Can someone please help me out? Thank you very much. I have been working on this for days, but still no progress :(
