Nvidia-setting doesn't work

Hi
I recently update the computer but not the graphics card and hard driver. I log in to ubuntu 18.04 fine. The nvidia-smi appears fine but it seems there is no process is working on it.

nvidia-settings has the following error:
"
(nvidia-settings:7289): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: 17:07:40.609: g_object_unref: assertion ‘G_IS_OBJECT (object)’ failed
** Message: 17:07:40.615: PRIME: No offloading required. Abort
** Message: 17:07:40.615: PRIME: is it supported? no
"

It has no iGPU but another Nvidia Quadro GPU but not visible to the 495 driver anyway/

How to fix the problem?

Drivers seems installed properly since my CUDA programme runs fine. But there are not any graphics program running on it.

I can see Xorg on top process, it might be running a cpu display manager I think …

Please create a new thread, as a new user your answers to a foreign thread are limited. You can attach files with the upload button (horizontal line with upward arrow) in the row of formatting buttons when creating a post.

For what it can help, in my case, eventually I make it work but the warning message still persisit. Probably I just go with it …
