NVIDIA Tegra System On Modules?

Hi Dustin,

GigE Vision sounds great. What do you used to talk to them? Aravis works to certain extent (more or less on Balsers). I haven’t got opengigevision to work on any camera I have touched (over a dozen). Is there any other vendor neutral way to speak GigE vision on ARM (free or commercial)?

There’s a GigEVision/GenICam module that I wrote, because the ARM binaries weren’t available from camera vendors. It’s convenient now that I have my own GEV networking stack (using UDP sockets), that can hook into CUDA and gstreamer. Sometimes I add an extra gigabit NIC for streaming additional cameras—http://www.amazon.com/Syba-Gigabit-Ethernet-Controller-SD-MPE24031/dp/B00B524102
Other times, when using analog cameras—http://www.ampltd.com/mini-pcie/video/avc8000nano.php

Anyways, if this is something you are trying to accomplish on TK1, message me for the codes.

Every manufacturer of a System on a Module has at least one developer carrier board for the module…but the module alone is often far beyond the cost of a full Jetson board (I mention Apalis T30 is in the price range of Jetson for just the module…
