Will Optix 4.1.1 run in an application that also links and uses Cuda 9.0? On all three OS versions?
Which three OS versions do you mean?
OptiX 4 versions officially only support CUDA 8.0 generated PTX code as input. I have no data available to be able to say how that could interact with the rest of your application using CUDA 9.0.
Anyway, I would rather recommend to use the imminent OptiX 5.0.0 release instead, which officially supports CUDA 9.0 and should be faster overall and has additional features.
How imminent is the 5.0.0 release? I believe it will simplify my workflow to manage multiple versions of CUDA for my projects’ different targets and having it sooner would be a true gift.
