Issue Description
We are deploying PTP synchronization on DRIVE AGX Orin with 6 radars connected to the 6 Ethernet ports of the MATE-NET J11 on switch 1.
- PTP is correctly propagated to 5 out of 6 radars.
- The only radar that never receives PTP is always the one connected to port 4 of the MATE-NET J11 on switch 1.
- This behavior is consistent across two different AGX Orin boards with different radar : in both cases, the radar connected to port 4 does not receive PTP.
Based on NVIDIA’s documentation:
It seems that port 4 is configured with a different role (secondary), which might explain why PTP is not delivered to devices connected on this port.
Question
-
Is this limitation expected (port 4 configured as secondary, not propagating PTP)?
-
If so, is it possible to reconfigure port 4 to act as primary (like the other ports) so that PTP can be distributed to the radar connected on it?
