Port 4 on MATE-NET does not propagate PTP to sensor

Issue Description

We are deploying PTP synchronization on DRIVE AGX Orin with 6 radars connected to the 6 Ethernet ports of the MATE-NET J11 on switch 1.

  • PTP is correctly propagated to 5 out of 6 radars.
  • The only radar that never receives PTP is always the one connected to port 4 of the MATE-NET J11 on switch 1.
  • This behavior is consistent across two different AGX Orin boards with different radar : in both cases, the radar connected to port 4 does not receive PTP.

Based on NVIDIA’s documentation:

It seems that port 4 is configured with a different role (secondary), which might explain why PTP is not delivered to devices connected on this port.

Question

  • Is this limitation expected (port 4 configured as secondary, not propagating PTP)?

  • If so, is it possible to reconfigure port 4 to act as primary (like the other ports) so that PTP can be distributed to the radar connected on it?

Yes. For reconfiguration of port, you need to consult marvell to customize for your use case .
