I just set up Ubuntu on a new Jetson AGX Orin following https://developer.nvidia.com/embedded/learn/get-started-jetson-agx-orin-devkit. Switching display to portrait mode makes the mouse cursor barely responsive and jittery. Screen has numerous artifacts. Is there a way to fix it?
Hi,
Looks like we cannot reproduce this issue. Is this on NV devkit or custom board?
Also, what is the resolution of this monitor?
It’s Nvidia Jetson AGX Orin Developer Kit with Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical USB, Cooler Master Quick Fire Rapid USB keyboard and Insignia DisplayPort to HDMI adapter. Mouse cursor gets smeared and glitchy. Background window occasionally displays artifacts. Works fine in landscape mode and in portrait mode setup dialog until “Keep changes” is selected. Display resolution 1600x1200.
Hi,
I think the problem here is “Display port to HDMI adapter”.
Could you try a native DP display and see if you see same issue?
I don’t have DP monitor. Old hardware only here. :-(
No problem, I can use it in the landscape mode for now.
I tried a different brand Display port to HDMI adapter (Onn model 100008762) with the same result. Perhaps it’s not a problem with adapters. Is anyone using portrait mode successfully with Display port to HDMI adapter? If so, which model?
Hi,
I tried Display male to HDMI male cable from UGREEN and it cannot reproduce the error you told.
Is this the one you tried: https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Displayport-DisplayPort-Monitor-EliteBook/dp/B00B2HOURO ?
I bought the UGREEN cable and it works fine in portrait mode.
