Q3200 & QM9700 Interconnection: SM enabled on QM9700 without UFM

understand that the Q3200 and QM9700 are physically compatible for interconnection.
If I enable the Subnet Manager on the QM9700 in an environment without UFM, will it successfully interoperate with the Q3200?
While I assume this configuration is possible, I am looking for a verified answer to confirm.

Yes, SM on QM9700 can manage Q3200.
