Question about VDDIN_PWR_BAD_N

Here is a problem: signal of VDDIN_PWR_BAD_N is whether a necessity for Xavier Module to start power-on sequence or not. I found when VDDIN_PWR_BAD_N is pulled to GND in hardware, Xavier Module can also power on and the OS system also boot successfully.

It is necessary. It is a signal from carrier board to hold low during power-on to wait system power supply is stable.

Acccording to your reply, when VDDIN_PWR_BAD_N is low, system power supply is not stable, Xavier Module should not start to work. but actually this is not the case, when holding signal of VDDIN_PWR_BAD_N low, Xavier Module still boot successfully. Cann’t explain it.

Are you testing on dev kit or custom design?

custom design

So please check your design on the VDDIN_PWR_BAD_N and compare to dev kit. It should be same / similar to dev kit. I don’t think dev kit can power on with it is low.
