I’m designing a carrier board for the XAVIER, and I have few questions regarding the Power-Up.
In my system there is no button for power on, I just plug in 12V and 5V voltages on the SYS_VIN_HV, SYS_VIN_MV pins respectively. I also use MCU for the circuit power sequencing.
Which figures in the OEM DG should apply for me?
In figure 10. you use the signal VIN_PWR_BAD_N - did you mean VDDIN_PWR_BAD_N?
Can you explain your example of using the EFM8SB10F8G MCU, what is the sequence it implements?
Regarding the VDDIN_PWR_BAD_N (Figure. 17) - if the main power (5V, 12V) droops and VDDIN_PWR_BAD_N goes to reset - what happens in the Xavier? Do I still need to carry on with the power down sequence or it’s safe to let the power to just droop?
If I connect NVMe SSD - how should I manage the power sequence if there is a voltage drop in the 5V, 12V?
I need to design high end card and I need to understand things deeper than what is written in the DG.
Who can I apply to? the production will include thousands units so I need help making this happen.
There are related detail content in DG about several kinds of power sequence including the power removal case. OEM DG is full guide for custom design, also there are devkit carrier board schematics in DLC for reference.
