I see in the documentation for USD Composer, that the RTX – Accurate (Iray) renderer is now noted as deprecated?
Is RTX – Accurate (Iray) being removed from Composer? Or no longer going to be updated? Is Iray itself being deprecated?
Any clarification would be much appreciated!
Yes RTX Accurate / IRAY is being depreciated as we have far faster RTX rendering now in Realtime and Pathtracing. IRAY is the oldest of the 3 and it is much much slower. You can still load it if you wish, but you have to install the IRAY extensions in the Extensions Manager. I would strongly recommend you trying to move your workflow to RTX Pathtracing / Interactive.
