I’m currently trying to simulate a solar powered robot in Isaac Sim. To accurately model aspects of the robot I will need to measure the irradiance on the solar panels. From my reading this should be possible using the iRay renderer and reading the irradiance buffer, however for some reason my Isaac sim does not seem to have the option for iRay rendering (see image below). Am I missing something?
The IRAY Accurate Renderer does not appear by default in the latest version. The RTX Interactive is still very accurate for your workflow, and so much faster to render than with Accurate.
If you still absolutely require the IRAY renderer you can re-enable it using the Extension Manager. Go there and search for the “IRAY Bundle”
Thanks for the response. I guess ultimately, I want to be able to measure the irradiance of on the solar panel. is there some way of doing that with the other rendering options?
