SDK Manager 1.5.1.7814 Installation taking long time or Does not Complete

Hello All,
Tried to install the SDK Manager.
But it does not complete for 2 Hours.

Please find the attached image in this.

Please provide your inputs. Could not get the idea about this.
Anyone has success in installation?
Host: Ubuntu 18.04

In this window, it shows as connecting. Whether my setup has any connection problems?

-Thanks.

Connect monitor, keyboard and mouse to your NX. It should boot into OS now.

Just connect a etherent cable to NX and share the IP to the sdkmanager.

What is the need for the Ethernet connections in here?
Is Ethernet connection mandatory?

The problem is: I could not complete the installation in proper.

-Thanks.

I totally understand what your problem is. You are not the first guy having such problem over this forum.

  1. Please make sure your have done the first boot configuration on the host. The boot process will stuck until you finish the process.
The sdkmanager is asking your account and password of your NX machine and will use scp/ssh to send package to your NX to install the SDK. Thus, need to configure it on NX first.

  2. If you already finished it but sdkm still get stuck in this page, then please move to ethernet. 192.168.55.1 is a virtual interface through the micro usb. Some users host may not support it, under such case, use etherent to send file will be more efficiently.

Thanks for the reply.

Can I use the Wireless for this?

This is the my understanding:
When this page comes, need to do the below steps:

  1. Already removed the Pin 9 and Pin 10 in connector J14
  2. So it will go to normal boot, not the Force recovery mode
  3. Power off and power on the Xavier board.
  4. Configure the Ethernet related properties.
  5. Then again run the SDK Manager in Host
  6. It resumes the installation from this.

Please confirm this.

-Thanks.

I am not sure if you are familiar with ubuntu. You can use any kind of interface, just in case your host is able to use that interface to ping and ssh to your NX.

  1. Already removed the Pin 9 and Pin 10 in connector J14
  2. So it will go to normal boot, not the Force recovery mode
  3. Power off and power on the Xavier board.
  4. Configure the Ethernet related properties.
  5. Then again run the SDK Manager in Host

These look good. But just remember that, you don’t need to flash OS again in SDKM. Thus, only select the SDK. Please do not let it re-flash the board.

If you still have any question, please directly ask before trying.
