Setting static address under L4T 35.1

I’d like to set static IP addresses to connect 2 Xavier NXs without a router.
I tried to set static address from desktop Settings->Network->IPv4->Manual.
After restart, the setting shows statics address but “ip addr” does not show the static address.
What is the easiest way to set static IP address under L4T 35.1?
Thanks in advance.

I have not tried on 35.1, but in the past I’ve used nm-connection-editor successfully for a lot of configuration setups (“sudo apt-get install network-manager-gnome”).

Thanks for the information. I found the Ethernet cable had to to be connected to other Ethernet devices for the static IP address to shown in “ip addr”.
