I work in the AEC space. I am looking for easy way to get builders to engage with Omniverse models.
Is there an easy way to send a link to client so they can view the model without needing to download anything?
I feel it will take some time to convince clients to adopt the new workflow.
When you say “omniverse models” I assume you mean usd composer files you have created from your own AECO models.
Omniverse is a developer platform, so that would be up to you to write that code and make that happen. If you are talking about using our reference foundation app USD Composer, you can create content in there and then send them the USD file to download and view on their own machine like a regular file. But they would also need to have USD Composer.
If you wish to create an online “viewing” experience, you can upload your work to your own custom service hosted on our GDN Network. That requires Enterprise sales.
Remember the platform and software are free to use. So have anyone that wishes to view the usd files download our launcher and usd composer. We still offer a “usd viewer” called USD Presenter in the Launcher.
Ok, that makes sense. I am slowly getting my head around all the moving parts to understand my business case.
