Some questions for GMSL CAM development

hi
I saw an architectural drawing:

I understand that this architecture diagram applies to orin as well.

I’m a little confused about this picture:

  1. What does the aggregator do? Why don’t you see the location of the serializer and deserializer?
  2. When there are four cameras connected to the same aggregator, what is the data transferred, is a cam taking up 1 lane and then assigning different virtual channel ids?
  3. Why does the CSI interface have 4 bricks, I connect the deserializer to orin and only 8 cameras can be accessed, so I understand that I only use 2 bricks? How do I know which brick I’m using?

my device is as follows:

Please help me solve these doubts, thank you~

  1. Aggregator is SER/DESER or GMSL chips.
  2. Check the virtual channel in MIPI spec.
  3. Orin have 4 bricks as AB/CD/EF/GH check design guide for the detail.
