Detailed Description

I am looking at the robotic manipulator surface gripper example, and it appears that the gripper cones clip through the cube when suction is closed. Both the cones and the cube are rigid bodies with collision enabled, so I would not expect this behavior.

Is this intended behavior for the surface gripper?

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Robotic Examples → Manipulation → Surface Grippers

  2. Place the gripper on top of a cube

  3. Close the gripper and visualize the collision mesh

Additional Context

If this is intended is there a way to workaround this. I would like the cube to respect the collision properties of the cone.

Hi, I think it’s more a visualization problem. From your video, the collider mesh for the gripper is not shown either.
Can you try to enable the visualization before you start the simulation and see if you still get the same?

Here I am visualizing all the collision meshes. It still looks the same.

From the video, all the collision mesh are green and there’s no conflict.
