Tesla c2075 - 1080p resolution not possible in windows 10

Hello to everyone.

My TESLA C2075 NVIDIA graphics card cannot display 1080p resolution on windows 10 pro. I have installed the appropriate drivers from NVIDIA’s website but it does not respond.

I have tried using different drivers older and newer, i have changed monitors and cables, i have used windows update, but nothing works. The card can only display 1080p resolution in Windows 7. The card is installed on a Dell Precision T3600. I have tried also using the card on another PC with the similar results. I have also tried upgrading from windows 7 to windows 10 but the 1080p resolution is not available as soon as the upgrade is finished. I have used compatibility mode in order to use the working windows 7 driver (both from NVIDIA and Dell website) on windows 10, the display goes all black and momentarily I can see the taskbar at 1080p resolution but soon after it returns to its 1024x768 resolution. I have also tried to update the card through device manager selecting the extracted driver folder with the same results. The available display resolutions are 800x600, 1024x768 and 1280x1024. I have also tried all this using windows 11.

If anyone has any insights on this matter I will highly appreciate it.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi there @chalandri, welcome to the NVIDIA developer forums.

This GPU is based on Fermi architecture from 2011 and as such has been deprecated in new driver development for a long time already. Even though the last available driver with version 412.29 should work for Windows 10 64bit and enable 1080p

If that does not work I suspect some issue with a newer Windows 10 update or similar. You could try a vanilla Windows 10 64bit without any updates, but it is definitely not recommended just to get this GPU to display 1080p.

Thank you for your reply and knowledge. 412.19 is not able to be installed with this card. As I understand it has to do with the CUDA toolkit. It can be installed with a windows 10 driver and 7.0 and 7.5 CUDA toolkit. But the resolution remains the same. I had tried installing windows 10 pro without any updates just the NVIDIA drivers but the result was the same. Thanks again for your input.
