Trouble getting OptiX to work with GTX 1070ti and Blender

I am trying to enable OptiX in Blender 2.8 and I have an Nvidia GTX 1070ti with the latest driver 441.87 and Windows 7.

I have tried to find instructions on how to install it and make the renderer but am having no luck understanding what to do. I found a video for a previous version of OptiX using CMake to “build” something but when I have tried to follow the video it shows there is a folder in the OptiX installation folder called “build” to point CMake to, but no such folder exists in OptiX SDK 6.5 or 7.0. I’ve tried just pointing it to the SDK folder as well as the Cmake folder found there and am just getting configuration errors suggesting there is a problem with the files. It says this: Debug;Release;MinSizeRel;RelWithDebInfo. When I checked the CMake log it says: The system is: Windows - 6.1.7601 - AMD64
I basically just don’t know what I’m doing but I need ray tracing to work in Blender so I can render with GPU instead of the CPU.
Any hep would be very appreciated.

Blender 2.81 and newer offer OptiX as render mode in Cycles only on RTX boards to make use of the additional hardware raytracing cores.

For other NVIDIA boards use the Cycles CUDA renderer for GPU acceleration.

Hey thank you very much for the help!
