Trying to install Jetpack 4.6.4 on TX2 devkit

I have several TX2 devkits that I want to install JP 4.6.4 on.

using the sdkmanager 2.1.0.11682 x86_64 but it will accept the Jetpack 4.6.4 as an acceptable version to install. It shows it in the list but will not select it!

The Devkit is in recovery mode and shows that both from lsusb and the sdkmanager. Just can’t select it from within sdkmanager!

It keeps offering JP 6.0 only!

how can I over ride this?

What did you see on the screen? Could you share the screenshot?

You need Ubuntu 18.04 for installing JetPack 4.
Or manually download the BSP and flash with scripts:

Same as DaveYYY’s comment.

I have systems 20.04 22.04 and 24.04 but not 18.04!!!

Do I really have to load a pc with ubuntu 18.04?

The sdkmanager software says it handles TX2, it sees the board, Surely it can manager the earlier software version! I would be happy with JP 4.6.5.

Is there any other way to use sdkmanager from ubuntu 20.04 or beyond?

what is the process for manually loading BSP and install with scripts?

Willing to try that.

Is that simply downloading deb files and then installing on target machine?

Or are there prescribed scripts available?

willing to give that a try if it saves me install 18.04 on PC
