Unable to flash Orin NX module R35.3.1

Hi,
we are trying to flash an Nvidia BSP with L4T version R35.3.1 on our custom carrier board. We use the flash command

sudo ./tools/kernel_flash/l4t_initrd_flash.sh --external-device nvme0n1p1 -c tools/kernel_flash/flash_l4t_external.xml -p “-c bootloader/t186ref/cfg/flash_t234_qspi.xml” --showlogs --network usb0 jetson-orin-nano-devkit internal

it enters step 3 where it says.
Step 3: Start the flashing process
Waiting for target to boot-up…
Waiting for target to boot-up…
Waiting for target to boot-up…
Waiting for target to boot-up…
Waiting for target to boot-up…
Waiting for target to boot-up…
Waiting for target to boot-up…
Timeout
Cleaning up…

We need to use this particular L4T version. Any help on this please.
