Unable to generate permanent license

I am unable to create a permanent license beacuse the web page reports an invalid hostid error, the value I am tryng to insert is:

controller.lares —> invalid hostid

as obtained doing:

lmutil lmhostid -hostname
lmutil - Copyright (c) 1989-2007 Macrovision Europe Ltd. and/or Macrovision Corporation. All Rights Reserved.
The FLEXnet host ID of this machine is “HOSTNAME=controller.lares”

The machine has two ethernet cards, one used for local, that is the one with controller.lares as hostname, and another one used to go outside

Hi giampiero,

‘controller.lares’ is the host name, not the hostid. The hostid is a twelve digit hex number obtained from the command ‘lmutil lmhostid’.
