We installed PGI 6.22 in Fedora C-5. However, running “lmutil lmhostid” only returned a blank (i.e., “”) for the hostid. Our question is:
How can we get the lmhostid information for the license key?
Thanks!

An empty hostid “” is a sure sign that either there’s no Ethernet card in that system, or there is a card but no driver was loaded for it. FLEXlm uses the MAC address of network interface eth0 for the FLEXlm hostid on Linux and on Windows.
If there’s a card, then you’ll need to figure out why the driver isn’t being loaded by the kernel at boot time.
