Unable to load DLSS in Unreal 5.3

In Unreal 5.3, I can’t see the DLSS settings in the viewport options.

I’m on:

  • Windows 11
  • GeForce RTX 4080 Super
  • Have disabled the RenderDoc Plugin
  • Nvidia driver version: 551.86
  • DirectX: 12

I am pretty certain the error message can be ignored, since I get it as well and DLSS works just fine. Your log shows the final

LogDLSS: NVIDIA NGX DLSS supported 1

which indicates success. There are no viewport options anymore in the newest versions of UE and the plugin. The settings to enable DLSS in the viewport are set in the DLSS specific preferences. Please check the file “DLSS_Super_Resolution_Quick_Start_Guide.pdf” which is part of the plugin download for more details.

Also run the sample project so that you can also try the DLSS status view.
