USB 3.2 and USB 2.0 lanes Combination for USB Connectors

Hi,
Could you please tell me how do i map the USB 3.2 lanes and USB2.0 lanes for USB connectors ? Are there specific combination to be followed ? Or can the both lanes be randomly combined and connected to the USB connector ?

Hi,

You could refer to the design guide document.

The P0/P1/P2 are mapping to USB3-0/3-1/3-2 correspondingly.

Hi,
I wanted to know which lane of USB 3.2 should be mapped with which specific lane of USB2.0. Total of 3x USB 3.0 are supported and 4x USB 2.0 are supported by T5000. Please let me know how the combination of USB 3.2 lanes and USB 2.0 lanes should be.

There is no such “should be” information because you could actually change the hardware design by yourself.

However, if you change the hardware, then you need to change the configuration in the software (device tree) too to make it work with your board.

NV devkit hardware has its own design, if you don’t want to use that, you could change to your own design as well but you have to follow our suggestion in the design guide document.
