Main Issue: See, I have this dark and strange looking tear-line on cc5 RTPT Kit 108
Are there any native OV tear-line materials that I can use in Omniverse Kit 108, that are optimized for RTPT?
Please test with “White Mode” to identify it is is lighting, geometry, or materials. If the geometry still appears black, with white mode on, it is a geometry issue. Specifically probably a “normals” issue.
Turned out that the rendering setting tweaks that I made to make the hair and beard look good, caused the tear-line to look bad with RTPT.
Here is a video and description of it:
show the character is CC5 so as native as possible. You can see how good & detailed the new eye system is.
bring in another custom cc5 model I made last week and check the tear-line is not too dark or any ways wrong.
closeup of the tear-line ( head mesh hided ) and you can barely see it, its wet and almost invisible!
I build the cc5 studio light setup lights to look good in Kit 108 RTPT but I do not touch any other rendering settings ( just added tiny bloom ) so we are still on default settings
Rendered 4K video of the female. No issues on tear-line - Yahooo!
Imported the male, and you can see the same. No issues on tear-line
4k render of the male
So now my next challenge is to:
tweak the hair material settings so it looks ok.
tweak the rtpt rendering settings so hair looks good but it does not mess up the tear-line or eye-occlusion matrial
contact Reallusion support / dev team to share all my results and find out if the best tool to make tear-line material to be just a bit more wetty and reflective already in character creator, not in Kit. Same goes to eye-occlusion
